The agreement between you and Flora, in plain English. What we provide, what we ask of you, and what happens if either of us stops.
What Flora is
Flora generates flashcards from documents you choose and schedules them for review. It’s early software, built by a very small number of people, and it will change.
Your account
One account, one person. You’re responsible for what happens under yours, and signing in goes through Auth0 rather than through us.
What you put in
You keep everything you add and everything you write. We store it and process it to run the product, described in privacy, and we claim no ownership of it.
Point Flora at pages you’re allowed to read. It fetches public web pages on your behalf, and whether you have the right to do that with a given page is your side of the line, not ours.
Don’t use Flora to generate or store anything illegal, or to attack the service - automated bulk requests, attempts to reach other people’s accounts, that sort of thing. We’ll close accounts that do.
What we provide, and don’t
Flora is provided as it is. We work to keep it up and correct, and we don’t promise it will be either at any given moment; see status for how to tell. We don’t promise you’ll learn anything, and we won’t claim more for the method than the evidence supports - the evidence is written down for exactly that reason.
Generated cards can be wrong. They’re written by a model from a document, which is capable of misreading it. Check anything that matters, and correct the card rather than learning the error.
Our liability is limited to what the law allows us to limit it to. Flora is not advice - medical, legal, financial or otherwise - whatever you’ve pointed it at.
Paying
Nothing costs anything yet. When it does, the terms of that will be written down here before anyone is charged, and cancelling will be one uncontested click.
Stopping
You can stop whenever you like and take everything you’ve made with you; email us and we’ll send it over. If we ever have to stop running Flora, we’ll give notice and time to get it out first.
We can suspend an account that’s breaking the rules above. Anything else, we’d rather email you than lock you out.
Changes to these terms
They’ll change as Flora does. Material changes get said here with a date, and the date at the bottom of this page is when this text last moved.
